Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Yarn Spinners

Since last year’s report, more than 50 shawls have been presented before the congregation for prayers seeking God’s blessing. These shawls have then been gifted to many people who have needed the comfort and love that they hold. We have received several notes of thanks that have encouraged us to continue with this ministry.

The Prayer Shawl team meets on every second and fourth Thursday from 6:00PM to 7:30PM to work on new shawls and explore other opportunities to use these talents.

A willingness to learn is all that is needed to be a member of this team.  All of our experienced yarn spinners are willing to teach others their skills. It is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy fellowship while making something that will bring joy and comfort to someone else.

Faith and love,
Cindy Edwards, Team Leader

I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
