We seek to bring all people to Jesus by being a friendly, Christ-centered community offering God's healing, help and hope.

Tech & Website

Tech Team

We lost our dear friend, the multi-talented Sally Desprez this year. So we now have several team leaders.

Jim Kavanaugh is the Team Leader for scheduling during Spring through Fall. Sue Shoemaker will take over scheduling during the winter months. Greg Jaynes is the Sound team leader.

The Good Shepherd Tech Team currently has 14 active members. We design and run a PowerPoint slide show and the Soundboard for the 9:00 and 11:00 AM Sunday Worship services and for other special services during the year. We currently are digitally recording the 9:00 AM Service.

It is also our responsibility to run various other digital and taped media, such as CD’s, DVD’s, audio cassettes and video cassettes. We are hoping to make the operation of these media easier with training and technology improvements.

We are always looking for more volunteers as people leave for various reasons. Our goal is that volunteers only need to serve once a month. Currently many volunteers do several jobs and most need to serve two or three times a month.

Website

The Good Shepherd UMC Website has undergone a facelift. We are meeting some goals and trying to find new ways to use the website. We have been working on a Podcast of our Sunday 9:00 AM Worship Service which is now available on iTunes.  As we expand our services to Good Shepherd, we are running out of storage space with Ezekial.com, our web hosting service. We are researching the many possibilities of acquiring more space. Deb Kelley has volunteered to be our Website design and support person. The duties of managing the website are require more time if we plan to use the site as a method of communication.

Respectfully submitted,
Jim Kavanaugh, Tech Team Coordinator
