Recycled Greeting CardsThe recycled greeting cards have been a part of the Good Shepherd ministries since 2000. The idea was given to us by an associate member from Tucson who spent her summers at Higgins Lake and attended our church. We collect cards from the congregation; we purchase the construction paper and glue. And we were also able to find someone to donate the envelopes. Then we were ready to get to work! It has been an added income for the UMW and is well received by both members and guests. Pastor Eric and his staff weekly send a get well card to a recovering congregant or sympathy cards as appropriate. They appreciate the convenience of having the cards available for mailing.
