Relay for Life
2010 marked the third year Good Shepherd has participated in Relay for Life. The first year we raised just under $5,000, the second year around $7,000 and in 2010 we raised over $1100! We started with just four team members and now have eight, and we're hoping for more in the coming year! Relay for Life is a year-round program in regards to fundraisers (of all types). In 2010 we had a relative of one of our members collect money to the tune of $900 to have his beard shaved off—a beard he had not shaved in 31 years! We also did a golf outing, garage sale, bake sale, Pampered Chef party, and Candlelite party, besides selling our microwave corn bags, tote bags and pad carriers.
