The UMW Purpose

The Organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is:

To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ;
To develop a creative, supportive fellowship;
To expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Our reason to be an organization of laywomen mobilized for mission:

To be a community of women
To know God

But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun,
and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died.”

The Good Shepherd United Methodist Women invites YOU to cultivate the see of faith you have been given by joining us.

April – December

Our meetings are at the church on the 2nd Monday of the month. We have fellowship and a snack at 6:45 p.m., followed by a program and short business meeting.

January – March

We have a Monthly Book Discussion at a local restaurant. Come at 4:30 p.m. to order dinner or join us for the discussion at 5:15 p.m.. Call the church 989-275-5577 to see where we will be meeting.
